I kind of want to keep it

So, after a couple of weeks of checking my e-mail constantly to see if I was in the Flirty Apron Swap, I got my partner on Saturday. And now I'm ready to send her package. It was my first swap and they asked for references! I literally wrote down my mom's phone number and said to call her. Don't know if they did, but hopefully they won't need references after this!

I love this apron.

I made it reversible--made my own pattern, and I'm so stinking proud of how it turned out!

Side one

Side two--I don't know which I like better!

This is the entirety of her package--the apron, Apron-ology bookazine, three vintage-ish dish towels, some of my soaps and a little crocheted sachet. I don't know about you, but I'd love to open a package like this! Enjoy San-Dee!

  2. What can I say besides OH MY G-D!!

Tara, this is absolutely amazing-the package came today and I debated about 2 seconds whether to wait until 4/1 or not...and your swap completely wiped away the stress of waiting for the doctor's call with my recent test results!

Did you make the soaps? Everything smells wonderful. I can't wait to play with everything! When my hubbie gets home tonight I will take a picture in my present and send it.

  3. Nice job Tara! Yes, do you make your own soaps? I own a flower shop in central Florida and I am always looking for home make products as gifts for my Mother's Day baskets.

  5. How lovely! I need to start sewing on my swap apron this weekend, even if I only get the pattern pieces cut out. Finding coordinating fabrics for some of these vintage linens can be frustrating at times.

  10. Hi - I am San-Dee's daughter Lillian and I, too, am a crafter (although with my first year in grad school finding the time is difficult). Anyway, Mom pointed me to your blog so I could see the goodies she received and I wanted to let you know that she LOVES them and is so happy to be a part of the Apron Swap. I hope that when I have some time I can participate, too!
